Turner Construction Company     Boston STRIVE's fundraising is done in house by board and staff members at a cost of less than 1% of total expense. From the time of its opening in 1994, 144 parties have contributed $44,400,000 to STRIVE. In 2002, 65 donors provided $708,000 of income. The breakdown among categories was foundations, 74%; corporations, 11%; and individuals, 15%. In 2003, funding requests will go to about 125 entities most whom have supported STRIVE in the past. Based on past experience, the board and staff are confident that adequate funds will be secured for future operations.   Boston Employment Service, Inc. is a not-for-profit Massachusetts corporation, tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Federal Tax Code, and a public foundation as defined therein.
