Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Welcome to STRIVE! As we say to our clients at each orientation, "You have come to the right place." We know consistent employment that provides a living wage is outside the grasp of many Boston residents. It is our mission to change their lives through the unique STRIVE workforce development model. It is through our efforts in outreach and recruitment; intensive job training and employment support; case management; and, by walking the talk that attitude is everything, that Boston STRIVE has graduated more than 4,000 clients and placed nearly 3,800 - and counting, into full time employment. This is the STRIVE way. Reach out to those most in need. Tell the truth, no matter how much it hurts. Before you can move forward you must face what has held you back. Teach, encourage, and empower. We teach that attitude matters. We encourage each client to believe the change they need exists within. We empower them to find and act upon it.

Since our founding in 1994, STRIVE has demonstrated that its program model is a proven solution to chronic unemployment. To our clients STRIVE is not just a workforce development program that helps men and women find and retain employment. Rather, STRIVE is a vehicle for personal and professional growth. Growth is wonderful and at STRIVE we believe in teaching individuals that anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. We welcome these opportunities to further prove STRIVE as one of the solutions to chronic unemployment. Mostly, we are grateful to work, live, and play in Codman Square and Roxbury, standing among our friends old and new, to remind everyone to walk the talk and that a job is life changing.
