The Labouré Center, founded in 1907, is a multi-service agency providing health, education and social services to 6,000 persons each year in South Boston and neighboring communities. This STRIVE training unit enables Laboure Center to add Workforce Development Training to its already vast array of services and enables STRIVE to reach out to South Boston’s predominantly white inhabitants, a population making up only a small percentage of STRIVE’s present client base. In 2004 The South Boston STRIVE placed 41 people into entry level positions.
